I really wanted this to work for trail running, but it bounced around a lot on the downhill sections and the straps ended up rubbing my skin raw. for something meant to be worn while moving, it should at least be comfortable enough not to cause irritation.

well... I bought this vest hoping it’d be good for longer runs, but the pockets are kind of annoying. My gels and keys bounce around more than I expected, and I’m always having to dig around to find what I need. The quality seems fine overall, but the storage layout just doesn’t feel very well thought out

I bought a running vest from ultimatedirection.com hoping it would make my long runs more comfortable, but it didn’t help much with chafing for me. I felt kind of embarrassed coming back from an 8-mile run with my neck and underarms all rubbed raw, especially since I thought I’d finally found something that would solve the problem.

The fit seemed okay when I first put it on, but once I started sweating, it rubbed a lot more than I expected. Shipping was fine and nothing was wrong with the order itself, but the vest just wasn’t comfortable enough for what I needed. Maybe it works better for other people, but it wasn’t a good match for me

I got a vest from ultimatedirection.com the cleaning part has been kind of a pain. After a run, dirt seems to get stuck in every little seam, and the bottles are annoying to rinse out properly. Maybe I’m just not doing it the best way, but if something gets dirty that fast, it shouldn’t take forever to clean, you know? It ends up feeling like more work than the run sometimes. Just not really worth the hassle for me.

I actually really liked the vest when I first got it. It fit well and did what I needed, but after a few months of normal use, one of the pockets started coming apart. Nothing crazy happened to it, so I figured it would be a straightforward warranty issue.

I reached out to Ultimate Direction and the whole process just felt slower and more frustrating than it needed to be. They asked for photos, the receipt, and extra details, which is fair enough, but then replies took a while and I felt like I had to keep following up just to get anywhere.
In the end, it didn’t feel like they handled it in a fair or decent way. I’m not trying to be difficult, but when someone buys your gear and it starts failing under normal use, it seems reasonable to stand behind it. Maybe I just had a bad experience, but the support was a real letdown.

I really wanted to like this vest, but after just three trail runs the shoulder seam started tearing and the zipper was already getting sticky. I don’t mind normal wear and tear, but this felt way too soon. Dealing with customer support didn’t help either — it was slow, and I felt like I had to keep explaining the same issue over and over. At this point, I’m done buying from here.

I took this bottle out for my first run with it and it was already leaking... My vest and shirt ended up soaked, which was super frustrating. I really wanted it to work, but yeah, not great.

The vest fits fine, so I’ll give it that, but the water capacity just isn’t enough if you’re doing longer runs. I found myself having to refill way more often than I should have, which makes me wonder if anyone actually tested this for real distance training.

It fits okay overall, but I don’t totally love the straps. They’re a little annoying to adjust, and I find myself worrying they won’t stay exactly how I want them, especially if I’m moving around a lot. The actual return process wasn’t too complicated, but it took longer than I expected to hear anything back or get updates. Customer service did respond eventually, but it didn’t feel very personal, kind of like I was just another ticket in the queue. Overall, the return worked out, but the experience could definitely be smoother and a little faster.

I got my order from Ultimate Direction and, as far as I can tell, everything was correct. The sizes and colors matched what I picked, so no real issues there. Shipping was maybe a little slower than I was expecting, but it wasn’t a huge deal. Overall, I’m happy with it and I’d probably order from them again.

I was annoyed because the reservoir did not fit my bladder like they said it would. I expected it to work for me without a hassle, but it just didn’t line up right at all.

I tried using these while running, the pockets are nearly impossible to reach. It’s frustrating because that’s something that should’ve been tested before selling them. The brand really needs to take accountability and improve the design so the pockets are actually usable.

I really wanted to like this, but it just wasn’t breathable at all for me. I put it on thinking it would be comfortable for everyday use, but I started feeling sweaty way faster than I expected. It kind of trapped heat instead of letting any air through, so after a short time I was already uncomfortable. Maybe it works better in cooler weather, but for me it got sweaty too quickly to actually enjoy wearing it.

I’ve been happy with this pack overall—the gear feels solid and it’s lighter than I expected. Just a heads up though, once the vest is fully loaded it does feel a bit bulky, so keep that in mind if you don’t like a lot of extra bulk on your runs. For longer runs, it still works well for me

I wanted to like this vest, but the quality was a letdown. I bought it from ultimatedirection.com and after only a few runs, the fabric was already starting to look worn, which surprised me for something at this price.
The stitching around one of the pockets also started coming loose quickly. I reached out to support and the reply was basically along the lines of, “normal wear can happen depending on use,” but I was just doing regular trail runs, nothing rough or unusual.
For the money, I expected the materials and construction to hold up a lot better. It ended up feeling kind of cheap to me, and after the support response, I don’t really see myself buying from them again...

My pack showed up quicker than I expected, which was a nice surprise. Overall there weren’t any real issues, though I can’t say it totally blew me away either. Decent experience.

I used this pack in some light rain and it was totally fine, so I figured it would hold up a little better when the weather got worse. But during heavier rain, the stuff inside ended up getting damp. It’s not a total disaster or anything, but I did expect better weather resistance. I also kind of felt dismissed when I brought it up, like I was expecting too much from a bag that’s supposed to handle the outdoors
